Kellie Martin is an American TV and film actress popular for her role in the roles of Christy Huddleston in the period drama series "Christy', Rebecca Thatcher in the Life Goes On, a family-oriented drama The Life Goes On', and Lucy Knight in the medical drama series 'ER'. Her other roles of note include the title role of the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Martin's acting journey began at age seven when her aunt, the former nanny who took care her children Michael Landon, helped secure the role of a character in the 1982 film 'Father Murphy.' After graduating at Yale University she began to become serious about acting, landing roles on both the small screen and big. Martin, in addition to being an accomplished actor and dancer, she is also a skilled ballet photographer. Martin is the mother of two children and is the spokesperson of Lupus. After her sister's tragic death at the age of 19, Martin has worked to educate people about Lupus and its symptoms.
